I completely agree.
While the second half of the show is considerably better than the first, it really doesn't make it worth the cost or the time.

I totally agree - the Luau is better than Backyard (I liked the Luau's food better too)....that said I don't really remember the first half of the show but remember the awesome fire dancing - that was the only thing I took pictures of! and would rather, like OP, that is was all fire dancing.

I completely agree. SOA felt like five hours of torture for us. I thought it would never end!

I don't see how there are so many (or any) positive reviews. I can see people maybe liking the 2nd half of the show, but there's no way the food or the first half of the show could be described as excellent.

We travel to Oahu every year and was thinking maybe of staying at new Disney Hotel on the west coast, but this show left such a bad impression I think I will pass on even that.
