Hi Mari! We are coming in from Southern California and yes! It IS expensive just getting to Hobby! We haven't decided if we are flying or driving in yet. DH wants to stop off at some places along the way so he wants to drive but we also like the speediness of flying....but those prices! We're waiting to see if the rates go down at all.

We too are hoping that flights will go down. For four roundtrip flights right now are crazy prices. At this moment we are probably driving to the port from Arizona.

Thanks, I was in Niagara for the past two days at Great Wolf Lodge. Are you flying out of Buffalo? We are flying out the day before.

When I arrive in Houston I am going to stay in Galveston for a night and then when we get back from the cruise I was going to stay at the JW Marriott in downtown Houston by the Galleria mall, for the next two nights three days. Reading some of the posts maybe this is not a great plan. What would you recommend? Stay in Galveston or go to downtown Houston?

For those flying in but haven't booked their flights yet, Southwest has a great sale going on right now that started on Cyber Monday. Don't know if that could help at all. I found flights for the hubby & oldest son to fly over to meet up with us for Christmas (Hobby to Jackson, MS) for like $79 each. The youngest & I plan to drive over to my folks house earlier in December.

It's up to you, really. There's stuff to do in Galveston that's fun. The Galleria is a rare treat for us because we try not to go downtown too much. That'd be a day of fun for me right there. Heck, a meal at the Cheesecake Factory in the Galleria would be all the excuse I need. LOL! Not sure what to recommend for the 2nd day, maybe a trip to one of the museums or something? I'm not super-familiar with that part of town. LOL!

Okay, my DH just checked flights to DFW and they were much cheaper than into Hobby. He found through American the four of us could fly round trip for $1050 I believe. I think that's what we'll be doing.

JennKet made the FE list! I don't think there's going to be many more additions since it looks like everything but 7 00T's is booked up now. It's going to be a great cruise!
