I agree, knowing the make & model will help us figure this mess out. I have seen a couple of pics of the face of the thermostat, but there is no make / model on the outside, maybe on the inside of the hinged door ?

Definitely not the kind of humidity you experienced in August! The weather is usually kind of mild, getting even chilly at night or in the morning. When we go anytime between Oct-March, we all dress in layers. It can be really warm- not hot, but high 70s/low 80s- during the day, but by 7:30ish, we're all pulling out the sweaters and hoodies.

Good news if you're staying at AoA, the pool is super warm, like bath water. My kids loved swimming there earlier this month, even though it was rather cool outside. We've stayed at other resorts (PC, POR, YC/BC) where this was definitely not the case.

the universal override for many models seems to be to press the Power & Down Arrow buttons at the same time....at which point "BP" will show on the screen and you can set the temp to whatever you want. If that doesn't work then we will need more specific info regarding the brand of these.

Definitely NOT anything even close to the summer humidity. We live about 2 hours north, so it's generally a little cooler here, but it's been beautiful lately - sunny, not humid at all, cool at night and perfect during the day. We check in Friday, and the weather looks about the same for at least 10 more days. Mornings and nights might be cool (although that's a relative term depending on what you're used to), so probably hoodies or light jackets, but during the day, probably anything goes.

We stayed at AoA in the Cars suite for 8 nights over Thanksgiving. We LOVED it! I can't say enough about the staff and the facility! It was so wonderful and so worth the money! You must stay there!

We are less than 3 weeks out now and I'm getting very nervous. I have no idea what to do or where to go. Can someone tell me all I need to know to make this go as smoothly as possible? I also want o know about online check ins and the magical express from the airport.

Have you already registered for Magical Express? If so, it's all super easy. They send yellow tags for your luggage, and if your flight arrives before 10 pm, you just strap them on and they pick up the luggage for you and you call the luggage valet when you get to your room and they bring it up. The only possibly confusing part may be finding the ME area, as it's in the basement of the airport; it was literally the farthest point away from us on our last trip. Once there, if you've already received your ME itinerary in the mail, you show it to the person at the line and they point you in the right direction for your resort. Buses go to several resorts, so the trip may take a bit, but they play cartoons and it seems to go by rather quickly.

When it's time to go home, you check in your luggage at the valet. We paid our fees that morning, and it was fine. Then you go do whatever until your assigned time to ride the bus back, usually three hours before the flight. It's pretty simple.

I've never done online check-in, so I can't help ya there, but I'm sure you'll find everything pretty easy. Have a great trip!

Looks like it's an Inncom thermostat (which is probably an OEM product just used by Inncom) and the override is:

Press and hold the "display" button. Press and release the "off" button (continue to hold the display button). Then press the "up" arrow. Release the "display" button.

This enters the VIP mode which turns off the motion sensor and allows a lower range of the thermostat.

Hopefully someone can try this and see if it works.

I have registered and we do have our Mickey Mail with our tags in it. Our flight back isn't til 5 pm, so we were thinking maybe ch k our bags with ME and catch a bus down to DTD and then back to our resort to go to the airport. This is our first time without a car and depending on the buses freaks me out a little. I've heard they're extremely slow going to and from DTD, so would it be easier to take one to one of the parks then ride back to the resort? So when our plan lands do w go straight to ME? I usuall lie stopping for pictures and picking up some things in the shops in the airport. Is ME the only thin in the basement? Is I easy to find down there?

We arrive around 10:30 in the morning so we were hoping to rush to the resort check in, grab our tickets and head to Epcot for our reservations. I'm looking for the easiest way to do this. I've heard online check in because you can do it so far in advance. I was just ordering what all it entails an how to get our tickets and things.

As long as you are back to your resort before 2:00 you should have plenty of time to goto DTD. If you take the bus directly from the resort and vice versa it usually isn't too long. The bus does stop at all the DTD stops.

ME is in the basement with other car rental places. The booklet that came with your ME tags should have the directions on how to get there. It's not to hard to find, but it is the farthest one.

Doing on line check in does save time. Once you are within 10 days of your stay just check into your account and it should walk you through it. You might even get an email that reminds you to do this. Once you check in at the hotel you can either put your bags in your room if its ready, or check them at luggage services. Then just hop on the Epcot bus and have fun Its all easier than it sounds. Have a great vacation.

Wish I say this a few days ago! I would have tried it. I went to the desk to complain and was given some lame options. I then went over to POP to see if we could switch spoke with a manager there who called over to AoA and when we got back our thermostat was set to 65. Its amazing how much cooler it felt in our room!!
