Looking for ECV Rental Recommendations

Hi All,

We are traveling on the 12/1 Fantasy cruise and bringing my mother along. She will need an ECV. We will be arriving in Orlando on 11/30 and staying overnight before driving to the ship on 12/1. We are looking for an ECV rental company. I know there are several Disney approved rental companies in Orlando. And we are fine with getting an ECV there and bringing it to the ship. We just didn't know if there were other options that someone would recommend.

I am looking for company recommendations and any actual scooter model recommendations that work well on the cruise ship. My mother weighs less than 250 lbs so most types of scooters would probably work for her. She also will have an accessible room on the ship.

Thanks!

Depending on your Mom's health and capabilities you might want to consider the Travelscoot.

http://mytravelscoot.blogspot.com/20...l-ecstasy.html

We rented a full size scooter for my mom who had only needed them for Theme parks before. It was delivered to the room which was convenient but it was so large and unwieldy that she ended up not using it and suffered for not having it. She did Castaway Cay but that used up all her reserves for the whole cruise.Midway through our bus tour of St. Maarten she just kept on the bus. St. Thomas she got off the ship but turned back at the gate from exhaustion.

There is one dealer who rents travelscoots but he didn't deliver to ships at that time. You had to have the travelscoot shipped to you , bring it to the ship yourself and then ship it back once off the cruise. http://www.scootanywhere.com/rates.php

I ended up buying a used travelscoot for my Mom for future cruises.
