We love Elf! Can you believe that my DS17's girlfriend had never seen it? She thought it looked stupid We "forced" her to watch it with us on Friday night, while eating Chinese food with chopsticks. I caught her smiling at it a few times

My other favorites:
White Christmas
A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

I may be the last person left on the planet that has never seen A Christmas Story and I have NO desire to watch it. I don't enjoy "stupid" humor and for that reason also do not like Christmas Vacation either.

I love White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, The Santa Clause, and while not Christmas per se, I always watch When Harry Met Sally around the holidays.

Technically, I don't consider It's a Wonderful Lice a Christmas movie.
This cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh.

My favorites:
Elf
the original Santa Clause/Tim Allen movie (#1)
Jingle all the Way
Its a Wonderful Life

I am ashamed to say I really, really don't like Christmas Story. Can't watch more than 10 minutes of it before I have to walk away. Just rubs me the wrong way. My family does like it though.

Not trying to argue with you, but genuinely curious...if you haven't seen it, what makes you classify "A Christmas Story" as stupid humor when you admit to enjoying The Santa Clause? When someone says 'stupid humor' to me I usually assume they mean the sort of slapstick, fall-down-and-laugh type of comedies...just wondering what your definition is.

I don't like stupid humor either... and I wouldn't really classify A Christmas Story as stupid humor...there may be some in there, but not along the lines of the Vacation movies or Elf. I think a Christmas Story has a lot of wit and charm.

My top 3 are:

1. The Ref
2. White Christmas
3. It's a Wonderful Life

I, too, have never seen "A Christmas Story" and have absolutely no desire to see it. I don't really know why. I have seen snippets, of course, and it just has no appeal. I thought I was the only one.

A Christmas Story definitely doesn't fall into the "stupid humor" category

Me three! I saw the first 20 minutes or so last year. I thought it was dumb and changed the channel. And yes I usually like that kind of humour.

Maybe I'm wrong in that definition but I've certainly heard my three sons talk about it enough to know it isn't my type of movie. I don't think The Santa Clause movie is stupid humor. To me, the epitome of stupid humor is almost anything lately done by Adam Sandler. I used to enjoy his movies but the last few I tried made me moan in disgust like Grown-ups and Jack & Jill. Yuck!

Yes yes yes! I love A Muppet Family Christmas, but I haven't seen it in years. I wanted to buy it off of Amazon, but the reviews all said that major parts of the story were missing.

I love Christmas Vacation, A very Brady Christmas (who are any of you to judge me? ), It's A Wonderful Life, A Muppet Christmas Carol, A Charlie Brown Christmas, It's Christmas again Charlie Brown, and Love Actually. I am also likely in the strong minority as I absolutely cannot stand A Christmas Story.
