Has anyone purchased the photo book?

We're cruising on the Fantasy on 12/15 and were thinking of purchasing the book instead of the photos. I think the book would be easier to keep around instead of having all those pictures.

So, how many pages do you get?
How many pictures are in the book?
Where do you actually choose the pictures that go into the book?
Do you think it's worth it?

Oh, and does anyone have a photo of the book itself that you can post here?

Thanks!

I bought the CD and threw their photos in a (Shutterfly) photo book mixed in with my candids.

I'm just not willing to pay that much for the cd. I thought their photo book might be good.

I don't recall seeing this as an option on our cruise...

I found this post about it: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.ph...14&postcount=8

I also saw it in a navigator that someone posted. That's how I knew about it.

Maybe it's fairly new and not too many people have purchased one.

Oh, I hear you. I just cannot imagine giving creative control up : )

I don't know what I'll do on my Easter cruise. Last time I paid $399 for the photo CD (with no prints : o ). Budget is much tighter this time so I may buy the $150 CD.

Thanks for the post. Until now I wasn't aware they had a photo book. I am somewhat intrigued too. Would make a nice souvenir for my mom who is joining us if I didn't do the CD.

I just scan the photos I purchase to put them in the photo books I make using the Creative Memories software.

We purchased the photo book on our Fantasy cruise in July. The photobooks could be created and customized at touch-screen kiosks located behind Shutters. There were several kiosks and I was always able to look at our pictures and work on our photobook.

When you first start working on the photo book it is autopopulated with photos. You are able to change out the photos. You can save your changes and come back later to finish it.

I can;t remember how many pages were in our book, but we were able to include every photo we liked.

The book is very nice, and I'm glad we chose to get it!

Could you post pictures of your book?? I'm very intrigues by this!

I am very conflicted about what to do regarding photos when we go on the cruise. I have a hard time paying $400 for a CD for images taken with an on camera flash and not retouched. The value just isn't there for me.

Can you put every picture that was taken in the photo book or is there a limit on the number of pictures you can put in it?

Thanks! I think we'll probably go with the book. I think it would be a better choice for us this time around. I still have pictures from previous cruises that are just lying around and like I said previously, I'm not willing to pay that much for the cd.

I'll try to get some pictures of it tomorrow to share.

There is a limit on the number of pictures. We are a family of three, and we were able to include every photo we liked, and I think we could have included 3-5 more if we wanted too. I'll count them when I take the pictures.

I didn't really know about the photo book option before our cruise, but I'm glad we went with it.
