Fast pass option
This may sound like a silly question but are you able to get fastpasses if you are staying at either the swan or dolphin resort? We are trying to find our best option for our next trip and right now the Swan is our best option!
Thanks!

Yes you can! Anyone with a ticket can get a fastpass.

By a twist of fate, I am staying at the Swan for the very first time in mid-December with my DS5 and I'm really excited! I am planning on taking him to all of the holiday offerings at the resort and hoping to try bluezoo and Garden Grove for breakfast. Fresh looks good, too!
I booked a traditional room, but I am a SPG member, so I guess I might get an upgrade. If anyone could off some advice on room requests, I would appreciate it. My main desire is to have a quiet room, but a view would be nice, too! Is there a quieter section of the resort? If I want an EP view, do I ask for "far East Wing" higher floor? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks so much! |

I'm planning a (probably) solo trip for May. I would have jumped through all kinds of hoops to rent points at BCV or BWV because I love the Epcot resorts area, but after staying at the Swan this past June...I booked the Dolphin. I did make some overtures to renting points, but BCV is booked and the only available BWV is preferred view. I would have ended up paying slightly more for it than the AAA discount at the Dolphin. Even though I'll need to book transportation, the flexibility of an actual hotel reservation totally won out over renting points. I wouldn't have done this before, but after staying at the Swan...I'm a convert! I really love these resorts!

Early check-in
We are checking in to the Dolphin on Saturday (yay!) and would like to arrive early and spend some time at a park that morning and afternoon. Can we do a "pre" check-in that morning to allow us to get whatever it is we need to get free parking at the parks?

I don't think it will. People talk about the lack of Disney magic at the Swan/Dolphin, and that is probably true to some extent. No hidden Mickeys etc., but the hotels themselves, dining options, pools, and dare I say it...pool bars are wonderful. In fact, the pool bars are superior to anything I've ever experienced at a WDW resort. Paying the price of a moderate with the Epcot resorts location? Can't beat that. Enjoy your stay.
