Maya Grill - What do you think?
I have reservations for Maya Grill on Saturday. I've heard a few people say how amazing it was, so I was just wondering if anyone had ate there recently and wanted to share their view on it.

IMO, Maya is a hidden gem. My family loves it. The Seafood Skillet appetizer is the bomb!

Our Ratings of Maya Grill Breakfast-Lunch // Dinner: (9/16/2012)
. . . food price value: B // C . . . food quality: C // C . . . food quantity per serving: A // C . . . food prep speed: A // C . . . food selection: C // B . . . seating quantity: C // C . . . seating comfort: C // C . . . eatery atmosphere: B // B . . . eatery convenience: D // D . . . staff friendliness: B // B . . . staff attentiveness: C // D . . . character interaction: n/a NOTE: Breakfast and lunch are buffets, with dinner being a traditional ala carte menu. The pricing for the buffets is very reasonable for WDW, but the dinner price is slightly high for the food quality and quantity. The breakfast/lunch buffets are well above average and quite tasty. However, the service does leave a lot to be desired as dirty dishes were not cleared timely and drink refills were hard to come by. The dinner, in comparison left a lot to be desired, and does not warrant a second visit, let alone a first visit. If you can spare the time and trouble to get to the eatery, the buffets are worth the effort, and the eatery scenery is quite attractive. |

We loved it when it first opened. It was Nuevo Latino cuisine -- fun, delicious and different. Now, it's just an average steak and chops house. We used to go and just have a variety of appetizers for dinner as the appetizers retained some of the interesting flavors and Latin influences. But, as of about 3 years ago we quit even doing that as we felt the quality and creativity of the appetizers had declined. There are places we like much better.

I wasn't aware that the Maya Grill was open for three meals.

I was there August 2011 and as a Hard Core Foodie I was pleasantly surprised at how GOOD everything was! I was there (only) for supper.

1) I have to revise the breakfast/lunch listing. 2) We had breakfast/lunch in 2011 and dinner in 2012. 3) Now, I see the hours as only 5:00pm-10:00pm. 4) I didn't know they bounced the daytime meals. NOTE: Maya is listed on the 2011 DDP brochure for breakfast, but only dinner on the 2012 brochure. Sorry for any inconvenience. |

We too ate there in Sept '11 and it was one of the best meals we had on the trip. I would recommend it to go and enjoy. It wasn't crowded and the food was A+ for us.
