We did two excursions in Juneau - booked both through DCL and it won't let you book if they overlap. Was glad we did book through DCL as our whale watching tour was a little late back and we boarded the ship after all aboard time.

I can second the Taku lodge and flight. It was the highlight of our trip. Check out tripadvisor for all the wonderful reviews.

Now if you want really deluxe trip, I would say book Adventures by Disney as an add on to your trip. We really wanted to do this, but didn't work out for us. You will pay dearly for it, but I have not heard any bad reviews and everything is handled for you and even some extra surprises.

Considered the abd and it looked great but didn't think it would hold the interest of my kids as well as the cruise would at their young ages. Done of the reviews were hit and miss with regard to seeing wildlife which is a big draw for my crowd. Decided to do an abd trip next year when the kids are a little older and ready for a European adventure. I am obsessed with the brochure. All the trips look great
