Getting to South Coast Plaza
I am going to to DL in a couple of weeks and we want to spend one day at South Coast Plaza - we will not have a car, so wondering the best/cheapest way to get there. I know there is a shuttle - but it doesnt stop at our hotel, and I am wondering for two people if a taxi would be cheaper? Any thoughts/advice?
Thank you!!

Which hotel will you be staying at? The shuttle for South Coast Plaza is the best deal (taxi will be expensive -- the mall is not very close to DLR). Last year I helped a friend use the shuttle -- it stops at several hotels in the DLR area, so very possibly one is close enough to your hotel (or you could take your hotel shuttle/ART to the parks and catch the South Coast shuttle at one of its stops). The two hotels I remember that had the mall shuttle were the Anaheim Plaza and, I think, the Sheraton Park.

You can take the South Coast Plaza shuttle if it stops at or near your hotel, it may stop at a hotel that is within walking distance of your hotel. This is $14 for adults (15+), Juniors $10 (5-14), and children under 5 year old are $5. A taxi will be about $35-$45 each way.
Hope this helps, Kriss

What kind of shuttle is this? Is it a passenger van or a tour bus?

Thanks for the info!! I am staying at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Walnut - I think the Grand Californian is the closest hotel where the shuttle stops. I did a little research and did see that a cab would be way too expensive.
