Disney without the child...

My husband is taking our daughter to Disney for her 18th birthday. I am staying home with the 7 year old. How do we tell the child he's not going? I need nifty creative ideas, please!!

Daddy is taking your sister to WDW as a HS graduation present. When you graduate HS, we will do something special for you. Period.

Yep!

Although, I would plan a couple special activities at home for your DS. It doesn't have to be anything big. A special dinner out at his favorite restaurant. Maybe a trip to the zoo or a kids' museum nearby.

Spot on.
Be honest but make the time with him special, too. There's no way to sugar coat this one.

Good luck

All I can think of is a pole dancer
Is there a pill for this condition or do I just keep up the cycle of going to Disney

Have to agree, let him know he did not do anything wrong and that you will do something special with him while DH & DD are gone. If you let him know the facts and dont hide the fact that big Sis is going to WDW. MAybe have DH find something for him while they are at Disney and Big Sis can give it to him when they come back.
No the same but when I was in Middle School my DM and Step dad went to Disney without me, but made it clear before I graduated HS they would take me to Disney and we would have a family trip.
