SciFi - Party of Five
Based on most of the pictures I've seen, it looks like the cars hold 4 diners. What would they do with our party of 5?

Cars hold 6...........3 rows of 2 each
They also have tables.............the 5 of us sat at one of those, but cars are more fun. |

The cars hold 6 (adult) diners, three rows of "benches" that seat two persons each.
Your family of five would be seated in one car. Someone will be in a row by themselves unless one of the kids is small enough to squeeze in with two others. If you squeeze in, a party of two (or one) will likely be placed in the empty row.

Thanks! Trying to decide between Sci Fi because it is different and Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic! package. Sci Fi looks fun though!

I love scifi! so much fun. food is pretty good. we've never had a bad meal and we have been there quite a few times.
For a party of 5, two can sit in front, one in the middle, and two in the back. that way the middle person can talk to either the person in the front or the back. problem solved! Sent from my Galaxy SII

We just did 5 (my family plus mother-in-law) and we did 2+1+2 in one of the cars. It's a really cool place. Food in my experience is ok. Your def going for ambience\experience. The milkshakes are FANTASTIC!

We just added my mother in law to our trip and Sci Fi is telling me that we cannot add the 5th person. Considering that we probably have a car for my 4 I wonder why they will not allow the 5th. I know that they say it is because of occupancy but give me a break. People come and go every minute. I have a back up just in case for two people to break away to 50's Primetime but I would like all of us to eat together at Sci Fi.

Depending on the size of your kids, you may be able to put the 3 kids in one row and the 2 adults in another row. We did that with our kids, who are 13, 11, and 6.

We are a family of five and ate there today. They put us at a table that could hold six. It looked like a regular table but had the car "decorations" on it. The food and atmosphere was very good!

We went when DS was 2 and the three of us sat in one row with no problems. We're all average size. If your child needs a highchair, then the table would be best. Our DS just sat on his knees and has lots of fun with the whole experience.
I ended up booking a reservation for 6 for our party of 5 because I could not find availability for a party of 5. I plan on sitting with 2 adults + 1 child in one row and 1 adult + 1 child in the other row.
