Ohana question in regards to kids meals....

Going to Ohana this evening, and my 4 year old doesn't eat a lot. Do they offer a simple kid's menu that isn't part of the family AUCE? I would hate to pay full price for him and him barely eat anything.

I honestly couldn't remember if they offered a separate child's menu or not.

Thanks.

You'll pay the full child's price.

Thanks. AllEars had some blurb about other children's options available, and I didn't know what that really meant.

You can get an alternative meal, but you will still pay the full 'Ohana meal price. This question has come up a couple times recently. In 2010, I know my DD got chicken nuggets and fries. I believe mac & cheese was offered as an option. Maybe grilled cheese as well? I can't remember what the choices were, but I think you can get anything listed on the Kona Cafe kids' menu.

My kids are both light, picky eaters, but they LOVED the family style options at 'Ohana! We've been several times since because we all enjoyed it.

Good luck! Have fun!

When we were there this past summer our server said they'd make my son just about anything he wanted. My son asked for Mac and cheese.

Same here! My kids (especially my oldest) barely eat, and when they do they are picky about it. They ate alot at Ohana. They really enjoyed the chicken and the steak and my little one even ate the shrimp (she's more adventurous!).

My two are very light eaters as well. We went to 'Ohana April 2012 so DD was 2 and DS 5 and a half. He must have eaten about 10 shrimp (those things are huge!) and my DD ate her weight in noodles. They loved the food.

We were at Ohana about 2 weeks ago. We asked about kids meals and the waiter said we could either go ahead and order one at the beginning or my daughter could try the other offerings first and then get a kids meal if she didn't like the food. I went ahead and got the kids meal because I knew she probably wouldn't eat anything. He offered chicken nuggets, pizza, mac&cheese, hot dog, and hamburger. Hers came out when our 1st app hit the table. The waiter also offered her all of the meat choices throughout the meal. She did at least try everything and did eat some but it wasn't enough to make a meal out of. Her mac&cheese was actually pretty good.

We were there the end of October and they brought out chicken nuggets and mac n cheese. DD, who's 1, ate the nuggets and mac n cheese and DS ate the shrimp. When one of the cousins brought around a skewer as he was serving each person at our table, when he got to DD he said "you can't have any because you're eating a kid's meal." Although it wasn't an issue because she wouldn't eat the grilled meat, except for the shrimp, I was a bit taken aback by the comment. Of course she ate what was on our plates but I would think kids should be able to at least try the food first. We didn't ask for the kids selection btw, that was the first thing the brought out.
