Oh dear. You save all your files? I'm going to have to call you to get a lesson on organization. Cut all my dumbo pieces on Monday night and could only get six of the grey parts on one mat. Kept telling myself "Dont forget to go back and cut the other six before you finish for the night". Didn't cut them and now I have to try to figure out what size I cut them at. I swear my brain is like swiss cheese.

I guess I'm a slacker. Do you store all this stuff on an external HD? Think I need to be on the lookout for one. This storing stuff on multiple flash drives is for the birds. Who knew using SCAL was going to get so complicated!

Yes, I use my EHD for pictures and SVG/SCAL files.

I thought I would share how I have my svg files sorted into folders by these names:

3-D shapes
alphabets
animals
baby
beach
borders
box_Tag
boy
camping
cards
christmas
color blocks
disney
flourishes
frames
gardening
girl
holiday (and then by all the holidays like Bday, V-day, easter)
junk (for all the files I create that I will never use - such as for help on this forum)
kitchen_food
Lettering Delights
Mesh Page
music
nesties
Other_Quotes
Penny Duncan files
Project Life
school
shapes
sports
traffic signs
travel
weather

and a few other personal folders with my kid's school names, etc.

But most of my files fit into one of these categories... and if not, then I create another!

Wow, I don't even know where to begin! Fairly new to SCAL - have had the program for 2 years but have only been using it about 2 months. I didn't realize everyone saved ALL of the files they created. It never even crossed my mind. Guess I need to put EHD on my "I've been a good girl list" for santa. I'm printing your list out (and any others that people would like to share) so I can get organized in the new year. Not even going to fool with it until I get a better storage system.

Totally different topic, I'm still REALLY frustrated with trying to make titles. Tried to do one for Dumbo the other night and after and and finally .....I just gave up. I get the welding part, but the shadowing for a second layer and finally the bubble type background for the outline of the whole shape I'm just not getting. My DH thought I was crazy with all the complaining and grumping that was going on in my scrap space. I finally gave up and went to bed. Haven't gone back to it since.

If you don't mind my asking, where in PA are you from? I'm from Danville, which is in central PA and my son is looking at attending Millersville near Lancaster. Wasn't sure which "amish country" in PA you are from, since there's so many.
