Talk to me about Deck 2, Forward

We are thinking of cruising to Alaska next August. We are going with friends so we are booking early to get adjoining rooms. We want to keep our costs down so we are booking inside rooms. Right now we can get 2009 and 2011 but it's so far forward and we don't know what to expect. We've always stayed midship in Verandah rooms.

The most forward we've been was 2550 on the Wonder. Sort of between midship and all the way forward. We were located underneath Wavebands. We didn't hear anything from there. And didn't notice any more motion than the midship rooms we've booked on other cruises.

Last September, my husband and I were in 2017, and it was just fine. There was a bit if occasional rocking, but we slept very soundly. We reserved the same cabin for our next cruise.

We love, love, love forward deck two. We always try and get the most forward cabin available on deck 2.

We did the WBTA in 2011 in cabin 2010 on the Magic. Would not hesitate to book it again. Last week we were deck 7 verandah by forward elevators, but 2010 had absolutely no issues during our 14 days onboard. Plus it is about 3 feet longer than other outside cabins due to the curve of the bow of the ship.
