Can you bring balloons on the ship

We are thinking about going to MVMCP the night before our cruise sails and I know DS would love a balloon, but if I buy him one can we bring it on the cruise with us?

They will make you deflate them when you get to X-ray

Thanks. I wasn't sure since some of the Gift Baskets by Shirley had balloons, but I don't want to take the chance that I have to deflate a $10 balloon.

She can no longer put them in baskets that go to the ships.

We found this out the hard way. My DD (2 at the time) begged for one of those expensive light up Mickey head balloons. We bought it on our last night at WDW and assumed we would be able to take it on the ship. Well, we couldn't even take it into the terminal. My DD was sobbing!!! They said they would "keep it" at security for the duration of our cruise. What a waste of $15!!

You cannot take a balloon on the ship. If you bring one to the terminal, it will be held and you can reclaim it from Lost and Found (where it will be tagged with your name, not a "lost" item) at the end of the cruise. That's how they handle any not allowed item that a guest may show up with.
