pools heated?
I made the mistake of telling my daughter that we would be able to swim at our hotel pool, now I am thinking it will be too cold. Is the water heated?

The pools are heated but not what I would considered really warm. Many swim in them though.

Pretty sure it's a standard 82 degrees for all DW resort pools. Depending on where you're from (we're in Ohio) - you can swim year round. We always have!

Yes they are heated. Getting out is the hard part.

It is not so much the pool, but the walk back to the room!

The pools are heated. I always find that no matter what the weather I can swim in the pools day and night - just have a towel ready when you come out LOL!!

We were at Boardwalk pool in march 2011 and it wasn't warm. The water was cold. There was a warm stream of water coming into the pool but not enough to warm up the pool & yes my long sleeved coverup with a hood came on handy that day.
We also were at AKV-Kidani December 2011 and the pool had warm water coming in but it was still cold water. Not as cold as BW but cold. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Yes...but 82 is not all that warm to me. Not if it is chilly outside. It was too cold for me to swim on one of our December trips...it was probably sunny and in the 50's or 60's that day, but that water felt chilly. There were a few people in the pool, but not many. Mostly kids who will deal with it. Upper 80's is where the water temp should be during the cooler months...at least that is where it would need to be for me to comfortably swim in cooler weather.

We have swam in the resort pools on every trip no matter the month, that included stays in NOV, DEC and FEB. The water is great especially in the early morning hours. As others have pointed out, it is the walk back to the room that is a bit nippy. Bring a robe!
