tween/teen areas and cash
First time cruising (3 night on the Disney Dream)
What costs in the tween/teen areas and how do they pay for it? What type of arcade games and how much do they cost? Also, I registered to use "cash" for our charges intending to use the onboard credit plus a Disney gift card that I'll register when I get onboard. Can I add a credit card later? |

EVERYTHING on the ship is paid for using your KTTW card. There is nothing in any of the kid programming (including teen) that costs. They can choose to buy stuff like a smoothie, but there is no fee for anything in the programming. If they do "design a t-shirt," every person attending gets a free t-shirt. If they do "Invade the Arcade," all the games are set to free play for that hour. If they have a "smoothie party," everyone attending gets a free smoothie.
The arcade is a different animal. You can purchase an arcade card for a child, and re-load it for them. This means that they can't go past the amount on the arcade card--it isn't joined to any KTTW card. This is good because if you don't want to give charging to an 8 year old, you can still give him an arcade card and let him play till it runs out. FYI--I told mine that if she EVER was so lazy as to buy a can of coke in the teen area rather than going to the beverage station to get it free, she would never have charging again. We never had a problem. They go as a gang to the beverage station and "fill up." |
