It makes sense, but at some point they're going to start having problems with the antitrust guys in the Justice Department..

Actually this could bring in more money. At least that's why acquisitions are done traditionally.

Why? They would be far from having a monopoly in any of their business areas.

Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast, the makers of Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. Would be some strange cross-marketing there, for sure.

that's the point...to control the entire process from start to finish and only pay for "raw material" overhead.

no profit cuts, licensing fees, partnership agreements.

nothing...

I'm not saying it wouldn't clear FTC review, but it will certainly be looked at. And yes, there are plenty of red flags as far as anti-competition..

Well Walt did like Railroads. Just think the could have the B & O, Reading, Shortline and Pennsylvania railroads running all over Disney. With new resorts of Park Place to go with the Boardwalk that they already have.
