Additional gifts: -
- GC's to clothing stores, Starbucks and Smoothie King (Stocking Stuffers)
- Pandora starter bracelet (I snagged this during Pandora's recent sale.)
- Northface jacket

I'm glad she gives me her list early so that I have suggestions for others when asked.
Over on a Christmas thread on the Family board they were suggesting Bose headphones instead of Beats, they're supposed to be better quality. I don't know from personal experience, just thought I'd pass that along.

DD14 has asked for:

desktop computer
small desk to put it on
GCs to places she eats out with her friends
GCs to the mall stores she likes
GCs to the movies
Itunes GCs

That's about it. She's got everything else electronic already so she's hard to shop for.

DD 13 never asks for anything so I have to make it up as I go along, but this is what she is getting this year:

Earrings (cheap pair in her favorite color because she loses them all the time)
Uglies (the first in a series of YA books, I always get her a new book I think she will like)
Wooden Chess Set
itunes gift card
smash book
Tickets to see The Lion King when it is here in January
a Roku for her room
shirt from Aeropostle
Vera Bradley weekender bag for sleep overs
book sox
A neon lamp for her desk

Gifts for DD14

The only gift my DD14 has asked for for Christmas is a newer model cellphone - we will be getting her a Samsung Galaxy S III with a data plan.

Even though she asked for nothing more - she will be receive:

Ugg boots (low style in Chestnut color) and Ugg preservative to seal them
a Clarsonic
an electric throw
Boyfriend pillow and cover (PB Teen)
Down-alternative comforter and duvet set
a glitter Lava lamp
Guinness Book of World Records 2013

For her stocking:
a Speck case (Hard Candy Shell) for the phone
GC to Sephora
a giant Hersey bar
bath bubble bar and bath bomb (from Lush)
body spray from VS
warm,fuzzy socks

That's pretty much it.

My middle daughter is 13. I'm getting her:

-Laptop
-$250 cash (to buy her own clothes; her style changes too much for me to guess!)
-Make-up set
-Headphones (she breaks these too much. Most I'm willing to pay are for some by SkullCandy)
-Perfume/body lotion set
-Wreck This Journal
-Misc stocking stuffers (fuzzy socks, pajamas, scarf, gloves)

She *really* wants the Samsung Galaxy III. That will run me $280. She either gets that or the laptop, but not both!

I was at Walmart for the first time in ages today and came across a line by K & C Company for their smashbooks. Has anyone ever heard of them? And more importantly, is it something your girls like to do?

I've finished shopping for my kid sister, but her birthday is in Jan. I'm thinking Wicked tickets, and possibly a smashbook if it's something she'd actually like. It looks like something I would like, scrapbooking without the perfection, but I'm just curious on if any of you have a teenager who likes it.

I have a DD16 and she doesn't have many of the things that are listed here. LOL This year, all I know is fun socks, arm warmers and probably gift cards to book stores and fro yo places. LOL I think I'll also get them both gift cards for Chick Fil A because they love to eat there. lol

DD will be 14 in Dec so I;m always lost what to get her

DD doesnt wear make and hopefully stays natural for another 1-2 years. I do plan on getting her a gift cert to get her eyebrows waxed. I told her when she turns 14 she can start waxing her brows if needed and its time-lol!Gift cert for pedi .She like luxury waffers(waffer sticks with chocolate in the middle) and mentioned those would be a great stocking stuffer-lol!

The other day she was looking at some cute hello kitty earphones so the nextday I went back and bought those.

So, are any of your DD14's into painting their nails? MY DD is and I would like to purchase her some more colors. Is there a brand that's better than others? She mentioned OPI, but that's kind of pricey - $10.00 a bottle. I noticed that there are other brands that say "by OPI", is that the same quality?

I tend to pick up the sets at the drugstore for my girls. They don't need quality polish. At this age it's only going on for a day or two before they want to switch it out.

Last year or the year before I managed to pick up sets of around 10 colors for just a few dollars at CVS on their black friday sales.

I haven't looked around this year as my DD could probably start a nail salon with all the bottles she has at them moment! LOL But I would look at the CVS and Walgreens back friday ads for deals on nail polish sets.

DD13.5 loves Essie now. It runs about $7 a bottle.
