Photo Request - Polynesian Beach - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hello all.

We just got back from WDW last week and while on the trip I proposed to my girlfriend on the beach at the Poly.

We were able to capture some pictures of the proposal location, but with our point and shoot camera the quality leaves much to be desired...especially being that it was nighttime.

I am hoping someone might have (or could take some for us if currently/soon staying there) some high-quality pictures of the beach itself and/or from the beach overlooking the bay towards Magic Kingdom and or the Grand Floridian.

The exact location was a swing on the beach. Walking down to the beach past the pool, it is the 1st swing to the right of the pool (if facing the water)...so would love some better pics including the swing also.

It did happen at night so nighttime shots would be awesome, but even daytime pics would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched online and this forum but havent been able to find pics of our exact location.

If anyone can help us out please reply or PM. Thank you so much for any help with this.

Gongrats.

These are from 2007 and a point/shoot but may be in the area you mention anyway.

I have no idea why I took the swing, but it must be it.

Great shots, thanks. The head-on pic is actually one swing over from "ours", but the pic from the side is "ours" I believe. Thanks again!!!

Anyone else with any others please keep them coming!!

I have a friend who was down there at the same time...said they saw a proposal at the Polynesian. I'll ask her if any of them took any photos.

I am the friend Goofy4Tink is referring to. Unfortunately, the only pictures I took on the beach during my trip has my family in them.

Were you the couple who got engage on the beach during the fireworks on the 30th? If so, I was there.

That was not us on the 30th...we were the week before. Thanks anyway!!

You're welcome and Congratulations!!! I'm sorry, the only nighttime pictures I have are of the beach area are of the Electrical Water Parade and they didn't come out very well.
