Citricos is one of the best of the Disney signature restaurants. GFC is fine for what it is, but it's not in the same ball park, even if it is in the same resort.

Not really understanding the comparison between the 2, Citrico's is signature, other than that yes they are in the same resort.

You are comparing fine dining with casual dining. There is no comparison.

No. There isn't.
  • Service: Citricos. Professional, career servers.
  • Quality of Food: Citricos. Food prepared a la minute with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Wait Times: You will need an ADR to dine at Citricos, and with an ADR, the wait is miminal. At GFC, you can also make an ADR and have the same minimal wait, but you can also walk in with a minimal to moderate wait.
You are trying to compare the finest Table Service restaurant at WDW not named Victoria and Albert's to a family dining cafe that is more like Applebees. The food, service, atmosphere and overall quality of dining are far too different to fairly compare.

We love the GFC and it is a lot less formal than Citricos. Very light and airy. The food is fairly simple but delicious. The chef we had was fantastic.

We also love Citricos. It is very formal IMHO, and the food is definitely in the fine dining league. You can get personalized menus for your birthday or anniversary you can keep which we love. Depending on where you sit, you can see Wishes from the big windows. When we were there mid August the restaurant was almost empty, and everyone was seated by the windows. So it is not busy all the time- august is quite a busy time. It's worth asking for a window seat if your meal is at the same time as Wishes.

For the money, the GFC is great. It all depends on whether you want a formal fine dining meal or a more casual meal with simple fare.
