Fantasy 5E cabins differences ? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We booked 5E # 9172 on the Fantasy while on board our recent cruise for next year.
Available right now--as far as 5E's go, are : 6192, 7192, 8186 and 8684.

Any benefit/disadvantage to these various rooms or does anyone know if these cabin & verandah layouts are all pretty much the same ?

Some people say there is less movement on the lower levels. Cabin 9172, appears to have a deeper balcony. Other than that, they are all the same.

I would choose 8684. We had 9674 and this one is just below it. We like decks 8&9. Great view of CC when backing in

I can't comment on the others, but we've been in 7192 twice, once on the Dream and once on the Fantasy. It used to be 6B, but DCL recently reclassified it as 5E due to the larger veranda compared to the other 6B staterooms.

Want to thank you all for your replies. I was at work all day and just got home. Well....7192 is now not showing.
Silverfox---so you think I should switch 9172 for 8684 ? Is that just based on the difference between deck 8 & 9 or any other reason ?

I misread your 1st post - didn't see that you already had 9172; thought you were deciding between the other 4 rooms. No, keep that!!! 9172 has a nice, deep verandah!!

I'd choose 8684, because when you back in to CC, all the stuff you want to look at is to the left from your veranda. You'd get a better view from 8684.

We just got off Dream on 10-25, and had 9176 and 9174, because they connected. I loved the shirt walk up to cabanas, but 3 flights up or down from 8 would be great too.

I guess I was trying to figure out if there was a difference in the verandahs and how significant. The DCL CM suggested 9172.

I thought that too. In fact, on every DCL cruise I've been on (6) we've been aft and starboard side for the CC view. The next 2 cruises we have 8188 - dead center aft and huge verandah. On our last cruise, we met our "neighbors" on the 8th deck (we were in 9674). The guy in 8684 loved his verandah, as did the family in 8188 (they were DISers in our FE group too).

I think either one of those 2 would be good & you won't be disappointed.

we love direct aft balconies

so nice to relax on balcony and watch sail away from ports. here are cabin reviews for fantasy:
