Talking Carribean eastern or southern

Hi

So far have only been on one cruise ever and that was disney in med. now thinking of carribean one.

I do not think I want to cruise in hurricane season.

So does this leave December to end may?

I do love the heat so which month would you recommend to cruise for lovely weather and heat and hopefully calmish waters? Assuming April and may but only guessing

Fancy eastern but would love Aruba etc if this was part of disney new itinerary.

Your thoughts you well travelled dissers.

We went to the Eastern Caribbean this year in early July and had calm waters the whole trip. I googled to see when hurricane season supposedly was and found a neat site.

http://www.world-weather-travellers-...ne-season.html

It mentions they rarely affect the region in July and that the southeastern region has the least number of hurricanes.

Our first cruise was an Eastern in December. It was HOT. When you are that close to the equator the temps stay warm year round.

We have really liked sailing in January. Its nice and warm and I dont recall very rough sea's. We have done Southern once on RC and loved it! I enjoyed being at a different Island every day, we flew into San Juan.

I have 2 opinions
We had tried usual things to keep them away, including something like coyote urine, it is sold in hardware stores by us

We've done a southern cruise twice and eastern 4 times. We enjoy the southern, we usually do a shore excursion in each port, and it does get hectic, a new port nearly every day! We also enjoy a couple of nights in Puerto Rico.

We're doing the eastern with the family next year. They'll get to see St. Thomas, which is our favorite port of all, and still get to enjoy days at sea on the ship. I thought that was the best idea for their first longer cruise.

Aruba is nice, and we have also stayed on Aruba, I think it was the nicest of the southern islands, and we liked it better to stay there than just visit for a few hours. There were lots of sights to see and beaches to enjoy.
