Kids clubs....
Information here regarding the kids clubs state that the Oceaneers Club is for 3-7 year olds and the Oceaneers Lab is 8-12 but on the actual Disney site, it states the Oceaneers Club is for 3-12 year olds. After looking at pictures and watching the video, my son (who will be 9 if we go next year) says the Oceaneers Club looks like more fun. So which site is right? I'm assuming the actual Disney site. Any input? What did your kids do?

They used to be separate programs. Now the kids are free to move between the areas at will. Activities do have a "suggested for" age, but any kid can do any program or do free play in either area.

Which ship are you planning on? On Dream, the two are attached and the kids can go back and forth, if I recall correctly. On Wonder, they are in separate locations.

On the Magic and Wonder, they are across the lobby from each other, but there is a "secret" hallway between them. The kids are still free to move back and forth.

Oooooh ok. So that's good news then. We're looking into the Wonder. Are the activities held at certain times and is there a times guide, so we know when to bring them? I'm just trying to figure this out. With the baby (he'll be almost a year and a half), how does that work? When you make reservations, do you make it for the whole day but specify when you get there what time you want/need?

For the nursery, you must make reservations. It's best to book your max number of hours precruise, you can always cancel them. Or you may be able to pick up additonal hours once onboard, if they are available. The cost for the nursery is $6.00, I believe. The Oceanears Club/Lab does have Open House hours daily where you can take the younger kids in (as long as you stay with them) to participate in the activities, these hours will also be noted in your Navigator.

In the nursery, 3mo-3 years, only the DCL staff is permitted in the nursery with the children.

You can bring them to kid's club (or oceaneers club) and bring the wave phone with you. Then if your kid wants out - they call you. Mine never wanted to leave (okay maybe once). When we would go to get her she would beg to stay. She is eight years old.

1 more question (for now)....I just want to double check. If there's an excursion we want to do but the baby is too young, we can leave him in the nursery for that time?

That is up to you. Realize that you will not have a way back to the ship and that the ship will have difficulty contacting you. On the other hand, the CMs are certainly better trained than the average teen sitter that parents might use when going out from home.

I'm not saying we would do that or feel comfortable doing that....I was just wondering.
