If that is true you could end up stuck with a dummy cruise because final due date is 3 months before the cruise so if you have a december 2013 dummy cruise you would have final payment by october 2013.

What is the advantage of a dummy cruise. I have a November 2013 cruise booked for 3 days to the Bahamas which I plan to take but how could this cruise give me an advantage for a 2014 cruise?

OH, DUH.
The 2014 dates will be released in 2013, is what I heard. My brain is still bouncing around from the 10/20 Fantasy.Sorry folks, didn't mean to scare you. I fixed my post. Thanks for the heads up. I never was good with dates and times. |

You book a dummy cruise on board when you know you want to cruise Disney again, but don’t know when or want to cruise sometime when reservations are not yet open. You then move the date when you figure out when you want to cruise or Disney opens that date up. The advantage is you still get the reduced deposit, on board booking discount, and the on board credit for a future cruise. You can do this without any penalty as long as you move the cruise before final payment is due. |

Well as I mentioned earlier, even if Disney was going to release this week - the hurricane may have delayed it. It is delaying everything, including campaign events and even Halloween for most of us in the Northeast. Even the Today show cancelled their annual Halloween costume reveal. Maybe Disney felt it would be bad timing
![]() ....Or the massive reports and videos online about the sailings last week may have made them decide to wait for feelings and fears to die down. Who knows why they didn't release this month like so many were told from CMs previously. But if it is true that they now have decided to wait until January, I sure as heck hope the itineraries make it worth it! Our final payment for our dummy cruise is due in March. So here's hoping they release them before then
