Best Resort to View Wishes ?

Are you staying at The Poly? Or driving to it from somewhere else?
You can see the fireworks from the beach. If you aren't staying at that resort they will issue you a 2 hr parking pass, maybe. Depending on if there is room in the lot for visitor parking.

As far as the resorts on the monorail go > the BEST view of the fireworks are definately the CR tower with magic kingdom view.
I have stayed in all 3 resorts and none compare. You are close and have a perfect dead on view from their tower.
The poly you can see but they are rather distant.
As for the GF view > It is a nice view but you only see the top area of the castle with the fireworks. But, at the CR you see the entire castle and not with a long distance lens.

I am not sure it is worth $800, but the view of the fireworks there is spectacular.

It is the only Disney resort lined up with the Castle so you get a full view of the fireworks.

Contemporary is definitely closer but I don't like looking at them from the side.

As a guest at the Poly on the 31st you will find it a little more difficult to get there with all the traffic...later will be worse. Have your confirmation number handy as there will be a guard at the street entrance as well as at the guard booth.

The Poly has the absolute best view of the fireworks in my opinion from the beach. There were be 100s (if not thousands) of people there. I will be there too!

Parking for those not staying or dining (with confirmation) at the Poly will not be possible (no three hour passes that night) so others need to park at the TTC or arrive via bus, boat, ferry, monorail.

The view from Main Street is the best. They are saying they feel of the different resorts the Poly has the best view. We stayed in BLT in January and the view from there is wonderful but we were seeing the fireworks from the side. At the Poly you will be a bit further away but will have a direct view.

though the holiday fireworks were different from Wishes...

my opinion - TOW deck - but you need to be a DVC member staying on points to go there.

you can get a nice view from California Grill at CR - if you want to do a meal instead of a hotel room - that deck will be very crowded too.

Tahiti is one of the few long houses with theme park view that has balconies on every floor, except ground floor which has patio. But room requests are just that, requests. You can attach a room request on your res. for TPV with balcony but they won't guarantee a balcony.

I've never been during high seasons for the holidays, but we did enjoy the view of Wishes from the beach at Poly. They have the music piped in too.

The Concierge Itinerary Planning Office at the Beach Club recommended this to me as a romantic way for my wife and I to watch the fireworks without theme park admission. I'll let you know how it works out as I'll be there in a mere 11 days.

PS - The best place to watch Disneyland's fireworks is the top of the Mickey & Friends parking structure. I wish Disney would pipe the soundtrack in over there!

I prefer it over MK because I prefer the "big picture." Yes the Poly will be busy but it encompasses a long stretch of property and there are good views throughout. The area where we watch from is not at all crowded...and we can hear music fine. I don't feel the need to be on the crowded part of the beach right in front of the pool.

The MK will be shoulder to shoulder people.

We have had a third floor balcony room in Hawaii before and that view is awesome as well but you will pay big bucks for it.

ON NYE the California Grill hosts a very pricy party for dinner and the view. The view from there is skewed a bit as the Castle is not straight on...still nice but different.
