Does anyone else wish that Disney would bring back the choice of 2 shapes of refillable mug? I know the one we have now fits in your car's cup holder but its also top heavy. For the umpteenth time I have christened my desk at work by catching the top of my mug. I have now got the cleanest desk in the office but my computer is starting to sizzle and smoke:

I much preferred the shorter fatter shape as it was much sturdier.

Thanks I feel better (though wetter) now

I also wish they'd bring back resort specific mugs. I have some old mugs from the Polynesian and Grand Floridian and I love them.

We have some of the short fat ones too that we use all the time. Liked having choice as well.

I prefer the shorter, fat ones too.

I've got a cabinet filled with a few dozen of them & always choose one of those to use over the tall, thin ones.

I agree with all of you.

Every time i swing by our local thrift store they always have a resort specific mug. I have started to collect them...they are so much nicer then the current and past mug. I am glad this is a quick rant as i am sure a mod will close it asap...

I am not a fan of the new mugs either. I so much preferred the resort specific ones with a choice of shape. I understand why they changed them to be general because I am sure a split stay is difficult however I wish they would reconsider the one design at a time.

While we're ranting about minor irritations - they need to come in more variety of colors/shapes/something. A shorter/fatter variety would solve the problem just fine for me.

We travel as a group of six, and there are only three mug colors. You'd think that there would be at least four. We mark them with a sharpie, but it tends to wear off over time, or you're always lifting up all the mugs to find yours. This is especially true when one person has been sent to refill six mugs.

(Talk about minor things to rant about. If I'm reduced to "It's hard to tell which mug of ice water is mine" I must be having a pretty good trip!)

I actually got one this trip. I am not a fan of the mugs because they have handles, but I just happy that they are tapered and not those god awful peg shaped ones because THOSE are the ones that I consistantly knock over so I"ve refused to buy one before.

Agree with everything so far.

I'd like more colors, more shapes, and more resorts!

(I used nail polish to initial the bottom of my mug once, and that worked really well.)

I prefer the current shape that fits in my cup holder, but would love to see resort specific mugs back, but that's not happening.
Of the designs since, this one is my fav one. Love the Mickey Pool party! Very cute.
I've seen these in many colours- pink, teal, yellow, black, green, purple.

1) Cost too much to offer two types of mugs.
2) Besides, Disney has now gone "Green".
3) Allowing you to clean your desk is a side benefit of the program.

To solve this problem we always mix the lids up with the handles. So this trip I had a pink handle, but a blue lid. And if that doesn't offer enough variety then you can go as far as switching out the part of the lid that turns, and switch up lid colors that way too. We have found that offers a lot of variety for the cup colors.

The fatter mugs weren't shorter than the current mugs, were they?

I'd like bigger mugs, that's for certain. It's annoying to have to get up for refills when the food court is busy.

Resort specific mugs were nice souvenirs, but I prefer generic ones now.
