Reasonable restaurant not in the parks

Will be arriving this Saturday with my 3 kids ages 5, 9, & 10. Currently have an Ohana reservation for Sat night but my brother & his girlfriend who live in FL may now join us for dinner that night. Unfortunately I can't add them to the ressie (obviously, since it's Ohana's). Also, their financial situation right now is not that great so I have offered to pay for them (making Ohana a very expensive choice even if we could get a ressie). So, I'm looking for somewhere else to eat that night that is reasonably priced. Maybe downtown Disney? Would like a fun atmosphere and a menu with a pretty good variety. Have done Planet Hollywood, T-Rex, Rainforest, so would like to try something different. So bummed about missing Ohana but so excited to see my brother so its well worth it!!

I haven't had a bad meal at House of Blues.

ESPN at the BW is pretty reasonable.

We find the Grand Floridian Cafe to be wonderful. We love exploring the GF after too. The chefs are so accommodating and the service is pretty good too. I would say it is rather reasonably priced too. We prefer it by far to 'Ohana (but then admittedly we don't like 'Ohana at all)

FWIW, we didnt like the food at ohana. poor quality.
House of blues, GF cafe, and Kona are some options for you. HoB prices are more reasonable than the other two, plus there's a bigger variety on the menu. GF cafe is pricier than HoB plus there arent as many items on the menu. But the menu looks good!! Kona menu is a bit different than the other two, they offer things like coconut almond chicken, noodles, tuna, etc. plus the prices are a bit higher than HoB. you should look at the menus here and see what appeals to you. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm

How about Celebration Town Tavern. You can see the menu online and decide if the choices and prices work for you. It's great and you'll get to tour Celbration if you haven't already.

Enjoy yourselves.

I would do Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD Marketplace. You do order at the counter and get your first drink, but after that it is table service, with your meal being brought to you and your drinks refilled. GREAT food, GREAT variety and a nice atmosphere.
Here is the menu http://allears.net/menu/menu_wpe.htm

Check out the Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. Adult buffet prices are about $23 and they have a lot of choices on the buffet. I also think that this choice would provide a better atmosphere for visiting with each other. We're taking 8 family members there is Dec. because we know everyone will find something to eat there.

We like Paradiso. If the kids or anyone else is picky (I am) You can get things plain. They have a guy playing a guitar and singing. They also have outdoor seating. Usually easy to get a reservation too! BTW.........I am arriving Saturday too! We will be at either RFC or Trex! YAY for us!
