Earthquake?

Earthquake over by Alaska 7.7 has caused a tsunami warning. Just wondering if that will impact any Disney cruises?

Best place to be, if in the vicinity of a tsunami, is high ground or at sea. It's not a rogue wave. It may affect shore excursions or being able to dock, if what the focus is would be DCL.

As the previous poster said, out at sea is one of the safest places to be in a tsunami warning, because it grows as it gets closer to the shore. Also, the Alaska season ended in Sept, the Wonder is in Mexico today.

Ships don't usually go to Alaska in the fall or winter.

An earthquake in Alaska could cause a tsunami and high waves other places. Remember the Japan earthquake? Huge waves hit Hawaii. No where near the size that hit Japan but still, a far reach. Earthquakes do not only affect the are they are centered in.

I was actually just coming back after reading the tsunami center warning (we are in Seattle) and it did say it could reach the San Pedro area (where the wonder is supposed to dock tomorrow) at some point tomorrow.

Its hitting Hawaii (and the West Coast) at 10p tonight, so it should be fine tomorrow morning.
