Question Substitutions allowed at Cinderella's Table?

We're eating with son & DIL at the Castle next Monday. Haven't been there for a couple of years and have never been there with a picky eater & a person with dietary restrictions (dairy) Son & DIL are first-timers in the castle, though, so I am looking forward to the treat for them (they don't know about it, and are going to be thrilled when they find out we're going up inside the castle, instead of just walking through the mosaic hall. :-)

I know they will accomodate the dairy restriction issues, but how about picky eater? Do they allow substitutions (I'm looking at the pork chop...I think my son would like that, but no way on the sweet potato side dish. He might like the fingerling potatoes that come with the beef dish, but wouldn't touch the s. potato dish.) Do they allow subs of the sides on the entrees like most of the other Disney restaurants?

I know both of them would just deal with it if they don't do subs...they will be thrilled to eat in the castle even if they can't (or won't) eat half the food on their plate. Just thought it would be good to know in advance if they can sub.

Anyone with recent experience eating dinner in the Castle that could tell me if they were allowed to sub?

mom of a picky eater here-just to let you know, they let you swap. we were about to cancel over this very reason last time and when they asked my reason for cancelling they said if he doesn't like the sweet potato, he can swap. well worth the experience. enjoy.

We were able to swap the sweet potato for mashed and my dd was able to order a adult size portion of the tender loin which is only on the kids menu and they let her order a cupcake instead for dessert
