Did you do any snorkeling in the ocean near the resort? If so how was it? Also how are the waves, anything you can ride on a board?

Yes we did snorkel around the lagoon, saw a few beautifully colored fish, but its definitely nothing to write home about... We paddle boarded & a few little waves came through, but not enough to attempt surfing, maybe a little boogie board action.... Perfect for families with small children!

I totally understand your dilemna! I also love Disney Dooney & Bourke. Don't forget each has a slight different pattern, I always make sure my favorite characters or rides are front & center on the purse! On the other hand, I had the best two Spa treatments of my life in "Chenoa's" hands at the Laniwai Spa----This place is gorgeous, what a treat for your mind & body. The spa would be more for your soul, the purse you can enjoy always. Also it's a great conversation piece to brag about your special trip to Hawaii, Aulani & Disney.... I call that a triple brag.. Have a lovely trip...... Hope this helped....
