Does using ME help with room readiness?

OK, weird question. On this year's trip, I got to BC just before 3 pm and my room was ready at check-in. Next year, with any luck, I could be at POFQ between 1 and 2 pm, and am wondering what are the odds of my room being ready (early Feb value season)?

The weird question is - This year, when I got off the ME bus, I was approached by a young lady CM with a clipboard who asked my name, told me I'd been upgraded to club level ( ) and took me upstairs - it was like she knew I'd be on the ME bus around then and was watching for me.

If you are arriving by ME, does that mean the resort knows (by your flight time) approximately when you'll be arriving, and would that make it more likely that they would have your room ready?
