I´m back from a fantastic weekend in Cologne and Bonn.
We stayed one night to see the PIXAR exhibition at the Bundeskunsthalle and it was awesome and worth a visit. Unfortunately it was not allowed to take any pictures but I found this nice official video where you can see some of the paintings, drawings, sculptures: http://vimeo.com/45240034 There are over 500 items. From the very first drawings of John Lasseter to actual "Brave" items. Each film as a chapter and it was very interesting to see the development of a PIXAR movie. Highlights for me was the Pixar Zoetrope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5khDG...eature=related and a 15 minute audio visual presentation onto a 50ft by 15ft screen with some fantastic 3D effects: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li-DN0s6aEY We stayed over 3 hours inside this exhibition and it was never boring. My two daughters (12 and 7) discovered something new in each room and they really liked to see how Woody, Buzz, Nemo, Wall-E and all the other character were developed. If you have the opportunity go and see it. I guess it is a once in a lifetime experience to see a small part of the PIXAR archives.
