Has anyone tried the Private VIP Tour?

Looking into Tours for SeaWorld and the Private VIP Tour seems like good value. Since it includes....

Animal interactions including feeding dolphins, sea lions and stingrays.

A fine-dining meal in the company of sharks at our full-service restaurant Sharks Underwater Grill.

And your group can have there own Tour Guide for up to 7 hours. It all sounds good but does anyone know of any disadvantages of going with the Tour. We are planning a couple of days at SeaWorld. The second day to perhaps do the Beluga Whale Interaction Program. So it shouldn't really cut into our time too much. But actually seems to save you time in regards to rides and seating at the shows. Plus Sharks Underwater Grill was on our list of things we wanted to try at the Park. And we were going to buy the Queue + passes.

I have never done it but it doesn't sound like its worth it. Also I like to enjoy the park and take my time having a tour guide on a schedule would drive me insane. You can do all that they offer on your own. Make the reservations for sharks, plenty of seats for the shows, and depending when you go on the rides you can just walk on. I think the Beluga one sounds fun. If you want something fun that is different that or the behind the scenes type tour would be good.

I e-mailed SeaWorld directly and I'm not too sold on the idea now I know some of the smaller details. The Quick Queue access is only available during the seven hours while on the tour. The alternative group VIP Tour however does include Quick Queue Unlimited Passes to use before and after the Tour. The menu offered for Sharks Underwater Grill is not the same regular menu offered and is rather more limited.

So for now we might consider the cheaper VIP tours which include reserved seating at three of the shows. Plus feeding sessions with the Dolphins, Rays and Sea Lions and both the Quick Queue Unlimited and All Day Dining Plans.

But then we might just go alone and book the behind the scenes tour, Quick Queue Unlimited and the Sharks Underwater Grill all separately. We're are planning a couple of days here to make time for the Beluga Whales Interaction and all the shows and rides. So the additional Tour won't hurt our time.

We did this tour last January and are planning to do it again this January. It was myself, dh, dd10, and ds4. We LOVED it. We spent the day with a fantastic tour guide, she was a marine biologist and answered all of my daughters questions. It was extremely educational. We enjoyed being toured around the park and not having to think about show times or when to be in a certain place. She handled all of the feedings we didn't have to do a thing. We were first in line to feed the dolphins - it was spectacular! We even got to go behind the scenes and pet a shark. The lunch was incredible i think we all had steak and I believe I had lobster bisque as well. We even got to do an encounter with a penguin when the penguin exhibit was closed. We had spent a week in Disney at Poly CL and this day was the highlight of our vacation. I am sure I can dig up some photos for you or if you send me a pm I will give you my Facebook info and you can see pictures there. We had special VIP badges and I think we got discounted photos if i remember correctly. My kids still talk about this day and now we have to add it is a must do again for us!

It doesn't sounds like it's worth it. You can feed the stingrays, dolphins and sealions for about $20 for the stingrays, sharks and sealions. You buy a "package" and you get a small tray (about 4-6 pieces) for each animal.

You have to line up separately for the dolphin one and it's $7 per person
