I'm very excited for everyone who is getting to utilize the new discounts!
![]() I just wanted to remind you all that there are 2 discounts being run. S/D/P & room only discount. I was working on a couple reservations, for friends, and have found that the room discount has worked out to be a better deal with huge savings.... This is for a standard room at Poly, 8 day base ticket and DDP Jan 24-31, 2013 Regular price - $5225.72 S/P/D - $4537.55 Savings - $688.17 Room only - $4038.86 Savings - $1186.86 Just wanted to share so that all of you save as much as possible. If you are using a TA they should be checking both offers for you! Good Luck

I finally got in touch with our TA, and neither of the special offers help us out too much. We're doing a split stay -- 4 nights in a 1 bdrm at BLT (only studios are included for the offers), and 3 nights at AoA in a Cars Suite. I think with the room only we save about $140. If we want to use s/p/d, we have to downgrade to a studio at BLT, or move to another hotel. She priced out a 1 bdrm villa at WL, and we save about $700. The problem is with a split stay, we have to do separate base tickets for each hotel, so that adds about $340 to our ticket price?
Free Dining is really the only offer that would have made a serious difference for us and we were really counting on it. Stupid, I know, but I am really bummed. We have a ton of ADRs, so it looks like we'll be hitting up the grocery store for snacks, breakfast foods, etc. to save money that way! I didn't realize there were so many restrictions on how these offers could be used and we're already pretty set on where we are staying for this first trip. We have a baby, so we would love that extraa bedroom, and a little adult time at the end of the day. WL looks awesome, but the extra travel time and weather concerns at the end of January and a boat seem a little iffy. Any chance at all they'd still offer FD on top of these other discounts? Has it ever happened? |

Pins
FYI: you can call 1-407-560-2428 for any pins that might be assigned to your address. Disney sends out pins randomly but some people don't get them for whatever reason. I called and I had 2 pins. One for free dining until March 7th and the other room discount for 15%to 35% depending on resort till end of May. We are going May 4th so I was able to get 30% off for the cabins. Woo Hoo!! They told me to keep calling because more are on the way!
Good Luck everyone! Let the discounts begin!!!

So, quick question to clarify... If a free dining promo comes out for general public, can I use my RO pin #, and then get the free dining? I currently used my FD pin, but would obviously switch to the other if FD is announced.
The RO discount PLUS free dining would be amazing and allow us to stay where we really really want, which is AKL.

Unfortunately, you have to choose which discount is best for you. You cannot combine a RO discount and free dining.

For our party of 3 Jan 2012 with free dining we paid $2515.
With this new promo for the same week Jan 2013 it works out to $2565. Pretty much the same price for the same thing.

I booked POFQ with the Stay an Play with 1 day park tickets for 2 adults and 2 teenagers Jan 2 - 14 2013 price $3622.26. I called and had a pin for free dining. Changed to the fd package exactly the same dates but with 2 day park tickets. Total price $3059.62. A difference of $562.64. For us free dining is definitely a bigger savings.

Help....
I NEVER EVER EVER get PINs, and we spend money like crazy at Disney...(we come 3 times a year, every year). This is the first time we are coming in for Spring Break (March 23, 2013) and I know getting a discount (or free dining) will be slim to none. Does anyone have any reason to think that there may be discounts for spring break? |

Anyone out there think they will release free dining for early 2013? Still hopeful we can knock another $500 off of our total.
