I know the Oceaneer Lab's upper age range is 12, but will they refuse a child that just turned 13? My sons will be 10 and 13 next summer. My youngest wants to check out the Oceaneer Lab, but won't go in without his brother. On the flipside, my oldest is hesitant to check out the Teen room. I must admit I'm also a bit nervous about him hanging out with older teens.

Best answer for this would be from the CMs onboard.

My hope is, it wouldn't be allowed. That would put a 13 year old in there with 3 year olds. And the "almost" 3" year olds that "won't be happy in the nursery".

I can't imagine a thirteen year old in the club.... I have a 13 year old who LOVED the vibe! Too old IMO.

Your 13 year old could go to the Edge - it's for Tweens 11-13. My 11 year old son loved it this summer.

My 11 yo dd was registered at the Edge and Lab. She LOVED the Edge and all her new friends she made. The Lab was full of little ones and my dd wanted to steer clear of there after one quick visit. Your son will love the Edge or Vibe. It won't take long for him to warm up.

Your 13 yo will not be hanging out with older teens in the Edge. He will actually be one of the oldest there since it is for up to 14. The lab is truely not a place for 13 yos since kids as young as 3 could be in that area when there is an open house scheduled in the club. Also, would your 13 yo want to hang out in Andy's room in the club when the lab is reserved for open house and only kids with parents [no matter how old they are] are allowed in the lab?
