it is mostly fried nibbly snacks, soup, cheese/bikkies, fruit, cake. if they queue politely, and the stack is reasonable no one will say anything.
A one of the suits....I couldn't agree more. But that is the q domestic lounges.

The q international lounges tend to be a lot more relaxed and inviting as there is never really a peak time as flights leave all day/ night. I have never experienced any mosh pit activity in melb or Sydney international lounges. However at foreign lounges that's another story!

I reckon with what's on offer at the lounge plus dinner on the plane you should be ok. They will usually have a hot meal like a curry/ pasta/soup etc plus build your own sandwiches .....if you do get into the first class lounge....well that's like a restaurant and I have had many happy meals there and no dinner on the plane required...

if you are asking about delta skyclub food...its mostly snack stuff, pretzils, chips etc and drinks (soft and hard).... we used our 30 day membership and was well worth the $$$ to have a quiet area with drinks and internet...just buy some food for the kids before you go in, just dont make it too obvious

Thanks for the advice, not sure how quiet that area will be once my kids enter though So definantly worth the bucks then? We have 8 flights in the 30 days duration so I am thinking that would be yes.

Occasionally you can find a pass for sale on eBay. It's not cheap though!

Hi we used the Delta lounge at Orlando and LAX.

For breakfast at Orlando there was bagels, cereal, toast etc.

At LAX (we spend about 8 hours lounging, showering and sleeping in there) they only served snack food.

ETA: we used the QANTAS domestic lounge when we arrived back in Sydney - ate way to much vegemite toast. DD is no a 'lounge junkie' and could not imagine travelling without them.

Also 5ofus did u only need to purchase one 30day membership for all of u? We will have two adults and three kids. Any help would be greatly appreciated we leave in 13days

Apparently you just print off the receipt for your membership. That along with your boarding passes should get you in. Please let me know how it goes. Have a great trip,

And travelmum don't worry about the tangent, I am usually guilty of doing that.

Thanks battymum. Sure will let you know how I go. Should I do it now as we don't leave for another 13 days. Can you say you want a 30day membership from a certain date or is it 30days from when you purchase it? Thanks so much for all your help

Not sure, but to be safe I would buy it as late as possible, allowing it to cover your whole holiday including any possible delays.
