It is fine. Coronado is a conference facility, and some of the spaces remind me of just that. Larger, not as intimate, etc. Depending on who is conferencing there for the day, the food court can get really crowded. However, it's Disney, so it's all good.

We have stayed at CSR probaly 5 or 6 times. CSR is, indeed, very large and spread out, the conference facility is, indeed, just that, a conference facility. There are, however, a number of intimate and very nicely-themed areas throughout the resort. Our favorite area to stay in is the Casitas section because of its lovely and intimate theming. It has a lot of lush foliage and beautiful fountains and courtyards.
You get a lot of amenities for your money at Coronado. It was originally built with plans to be a Deluxe category resort. For some reason (I don't know what the reason was), it did not meet Disney's "Deluxe" standard, so it is in the Moderate category. But it does have some amenities not found in the other Moderate resorts -- fitness center, beauty salon, spa. And conference facility -- but we have never viewed the conference facility as a negative. |
