I don't know if the fireworks are different at Epcot during Christmas but I was at Epcot for last New Years Eve's fireworks. It is quite different from the normal fireworks. They start the fireworks at around 12am but at the end of the fireworks each country shoots off their own fireworks (over their own country). It was beautiful.. If you decide to go to Epcot during New Years Eve make sure you get there early and get to where you want to sit by 11am. The place was packed by 2 pm.

Epcot does have enhanced fireworks for NYE, but I think MK is the only park that has them on 12/30.

For the past several years, Epcot has also had a holiday finale added onto the end of Illuminations, that runs every night from the day after Thanksgiving thru 12/30. It's a version of the finale from the old Holiday Illuminations that was shown before the millennium.
