Yes, we are flying out of Calgary. I booked using airmiles so our flights are a bit of a long haul with a 6:30am start and a 3 hour stop in Seattle before heading to LAX. I hope some good deals come out for you soon! Will you fly out of Edmonton?

No, we are flying out of Grande Prairie. It is about $500 more but I don't want that 5 hr.drive to Edm in February and by the time I pay for hotels both ways plus gas and meals...it all works out in the end.It will be about $1400 rt for the 3 of us.Although we will land in Edmonton then Calgary and then LAX.

We are planning to go early February during the week to avoid crowds and heat. Reserved a room at BWPPI - we stayed there last month and the location and free breakfast worked out well for us.

Just got a deal through Southwest and I'm debating a long weekend to Disneyland. Haven't been in ages and never been in February. What can I expect in terms of weather? I'm used to hot summers at WDW, what will this be like?

Welcome to the February thread.
Well it certainly won't be really hot.We wore jeans or capris and a t-shirt during the day and a sweatshirt at night. When the sun goes down,so does the temp.We did swim during the day,but we are in northern Canada so 70 is summer weather for us
Love February. The hours may be short...but so are the lines. No fireworks or shows during the week except WOC.
Let me know your dates and I will add you to our ever growing list.

Did you get a good deal on flights? I have our flights booked going to Disneyland...but not back to Alberta.I may never come home
We drive 12 hours from Hay River to Edmonton, but we have direct flights both ways on Westjet that we got with points. We drive because we like having our vehicle, and we tend to do a bunch of shopping. Also, it is about $1000 per person return for flights from Hay River to Edmonton!! That is a cost of another Disney trip!

I have a course in Victoria that I will be leaving from Edmonton when we return from our trip. When I get back to Edmonton from Victoria it will be reading week for my DD20 who is attending Grant MacEwan, so I will spend some time with her before flying back to Hay River. So, DH and DD13 will be driving back to Hay River after our Disney trip without me.

My brother and his family and a family friend and his family all from Grande Prairie are joining us. We are meeting up in Anahiem, so I don't know what flights they will be choosing. They all have little ones that haven't been to Disney before, so it really will be magical. My DD13 is only interested in the rides, it is not so magical for her any more

Kind of cool that there will be a bunch of people from GP there at the same time.

Thank you for your help Susie63

From what I can see there are no fireworks at Disneyland in February. Is that the case?

Fireworks will take place most of the time on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I believe.
