The little things that are fun to do?

I am looking for some activities at the different resorts that we can do in the evening after dinner when the parks close early-we go in December. I've heard about a carriage ride a FW (I think).

What are some other fun little things small kids (3 and 5) would enjoy after a full morning/early afternoon in the parks, break and dinner if we've done what we can do in the parks for the day? Ideas?

Downtown disney is fun in the evenings. Especially if it is warm enough to play in the various fountains. There are also legos/duplo blocks to play with at the lego store.

Honestly, after a day in the parks and dinner, they may be ready for an early bedtime. I don't think any park will close before 7 except AK, so getting back to the resort and dinner may be enough. If not, all the resorts are fun places to be. IF it's warm enough, a swim, time at the arcade, a walk around the resort. If you are up for more, DTD or if you have park hoppers, WS at Epcot or any park that has PM EMH. Little ones tend to like hotel rooms and might like some time to chill with the Disney Channel too.

While at FW, see if they are doing the campfire with Chip and Dale. That is on my to-do list on one of our trips. It sounds like a lot of fun!

That time of year, you could ride the monorail to the MK resorts to see the Christmas decorations and ride the boat over to WL. Also, go to the Boardwalk resort as there are things to do outside and cool decorations there.

I know that some resorts have movies playing at night if you are staying on property. We are always at the parks in the evening, but I know WL has a movie playing out on the beach. Other resorts do this, too, but I am not sure of the details.

If your kids are not too tired and would do okay in one of the kid's clubs, you and DH could go for a nice dinner.

Ditto the campground. Go on a boat ride to and from the campground, even if you don't stay. Watch the fireworks, of course....Ride the monorail and have dessert at the Poly.

My little guy loved the campfire and singalong at Fort Wilderness. Chip and Dale come around to every seated person for hugs and pictures. The singalong is entertaining too! And what kid doesn't love smores? FYI: The smores kits are pricey, but considering the entertainment is free, are still a good value for an evening of fun.
