Any idea when the Christmas decorations will come down at the resort this January?

Quick question. I have booked garden view. I asked the nice CM on the phone to please add a request for Bldg 85 and he told me that garden view rooms are only in the AB section. Is this true? In reality, I would be happy with any room but my DD really wanted mansions. How can mansions only have water view/river view rooms? (This is what he told me). I asked him to leave the request anyway.

What the CM may have meant to say was that no garden view rooms were left in the mansions section under the discount pricing. I know that was true for us last week when we changed from POFQ garden view to POR Royal Room river view under the discount. There were no garden view rooms in the mansions available under the discount at that time. And POFQ only has a 5% room discount so we switched resorts, upgraded view and still saved money.

Editing to say I just received a phone call from my Disney specialist TA and she said that she could get us a variety of room categories at POR now that the computer system is working properly again. She gave me the choices and savings but I stuck with our Royal Room River View because I had come to really like that idea. She also told me that this was about the poorest thought out special promo they have ever rolled out.

We will be arriving on the same day! And my DD will be celebrating her birthday there too.

We added a note about our DD's birthday when I called them to add our ME transport from the airport to our reservation.

That's exactly what I was gonna say since the only allow so many types of rooms at certain resorts once those are booked you just won't get them

Just rebooked our package today with the new promo. We are staying in Alligator Bayou Garden view room from Jan. 26th-Feb.2. This is our first time staying at POR and we are excited about it. We have done POP, CBR and POFQ.

We will be celebrating my son's 10th birthday while on our trip! It is a total surprise to the kids!

How do you know for sure that you will be in Alligator Bayou?! I want to be there but all I could do was request it! Is there a way to fore sure be in that section? I want to be in an AB room so bad!

If you book preferred, you will be in AB 14, 15, 18 or 27.

To both of these The other way you can be in AB for sure is if you have five in the family ressie.

We are so excited to be going back to POR next month. Last time we had a beautiful view of the river in building 27. This time we requested a parking lot view. I am hoping we get it, even though the cm taking the request thought I lost my marbles. Our reasoning is that it will be easier finding our room at night and easier to unload the car ourselves which I prefer. What do you think our chances are of getting this request granted? We are a party of 10 with two rooms.

We are heading to Port Orleans Riverside for the first time in about 3 weeks and are so excited! I have booked a royal room and my 2 DD's have no ides about the royal rooms. I can't wait to see their amazement when they walk into the room! We have a water view and I've requested Oak Manor because it looks slightly more convenient. Is there any other requests I should make? Anything else I need to know?

They are all around the resort, with all view types available (except for Royal Rooms - no King Beds in those)

Good choice, gives you slightly closer access for the main pool area, but Parterre Place would be fine too. You'll be overlooking the quiet swimming pool.
