I dunno. You don't need a fax machine or anything, there are free services that you can use online. I used gotfreefax.com. Fast and easy and they send you a confirmation email.

Yes, I have a fax machine but I have heard that it is better to send and e-mail. ??

Having two forms of notes on fax the other being your ressie help better your chances and cant hurt you. I have seen better chances of guests getting what they would like to from their stay.

Although all the CMs have email addresses in the Resort Administration we can not share those. So truthfully faxes are the best and yes faxes do work. I just recommend that you call the resort number and verify they received it.

aka I do have access to direct numbers for that.

If you know a public email address for Port Orleans then you're welcome to try but fax is currently the preferred option by the room assignment department.

That's the short answer. The longer and more detailed one is at www.portorleans.org/room-requests.php.

Quick question - do you add celebrations to your reservation with a fax to the resort, as well? If not, then what is the best way? DD will celebrate a birthday during our trip.

10 days to POR!!

Most of the time you can add them via phone call or fax. Most of the time while making reservations they are logged into your whole reservation and can add a celebration at that point also. They usually ask if you are celebrating anything. We will be celebrating engagement and My Fiancé to be's Birthday.

I am sooo unbelievably excited! I just booked 10 days package at POR in February with PH/waterpark and DDP for myself, DH, DD11 and DS10.
(Initial price $6044.24, discount price $4216.74)

Quick question. I have booked garden view. I asked the nice CM on the phone to please add a request for Bldg 85 and he told me that garden view rooms are only in the AB section. Is this true? In reality, I would be happy with any room but my DD really wanted mansions. How can mansions only have water view/river view rooms? (This is what he told me). I asked him to leave the request anyway.

Congrats on the great deal!!!

No, that is not true. Garden View rooms are available in all buildings. But I don't know why they told you in AB only. You don't have five in your family. The AB area usually is reserved for families of that size or if you book a preferred room.

Nope, all types of rooms are available in all of the areas - except for Preferred Locations (which are in AB 14, 15, 18 and 27 only) and King Bed rooms (which are not available in either of the Royal buildings).

For further details, see http://www.portorleans.org/room-requests.php.
