Auberge De Cendrillon
I was just wondering what peoples opinions are on lunch at Auberge. It will be my daughter's 16th birthday and she wants nothing more than to have lunch here and see the princesses.
I was wondering what the food is like, the best time to go, the best seating choice and peoples general opinion of the place. My daughter has had a really rough year suffering severe anxiety & depression and I want this to be special for her. Any input would be great, thanks

Hello,
![]() Have you had a look at the restaurant reviews ? From post 48 you've got the posts for this year http://www.disboards.com/showthread....1218528&page=4 I've never been myself as I'm not a fan of characters and the food doesn't grab me either but I know some people think it's wonderful

The food is passable. The quality and the amount has gone down over time (as usual), but if you haven't been before you won't notice, so I'd leave that off for my decision.
If your daughter loves princesses and needs something special you can't go wrong there, simply for the athmosphere alone. They normally don't give you a seating choice. They got a little area behind the fireplace. If they try to seat you there I'd probably ask to be moved, that's not the best spot. They have a small dancefloor where prince and princess dance which is generally considered the best area by many.

We went in march and we enjoyed our selves. The character interaction was really good and saves a lot of time queuing in princess pavilion if you are wanting some princess time.
The food though isnt great. We were still hungry when we left. |

I would read the reviews because it is expensive, personally I like the food, but I know it's not to everyone's taste.
The best area to sit is by the dancefloor, we've managed this on 2 out of our 4 visits. The princesses (& the mice!) are wonderful and it is my daughter's favourite meal. I feel it is not as good value as it used to be but that is simply from a comparison point of view and doesn't spoil our experience. We always book for 12 when it opens. Happy planning!
