I do like proper names for pets, most of the time.

My cat is named Blue. It suits her so well.

If it was a boy I would say Gandalf...you could call her Gandy. Or Galadriel after the elven queen in LOTR. I like Dinah that PP mentioned. There is Jadis the white witch in Narnia...she's evil but her coloring is silver and white in the movie.

She's adorable!

I tend to like people names for pets.

She looks like a Sukey to me.

To answer the question as to if we have all those cats and are they all indoor. Yes we do. All but Blackie are rescues. Angel I found at my old office, Tink, Luna, Pickaboo, Oliver and Smokey all showed up at our house, Simba, Twiggy, Willow, Bashful and Samson were rescued from my husband's work (we started off as fosters for them), Miss Priss was my daughter's and then she rescued George & Gracie (someone was going to abandon them at a flea market and they were only 10 to 12 weeks old).

Miss Kitty and Shadow are outside cats. Miss Kitty stays around all the time and does not want to come in. Shadow comes and goes. Usually if he has been in a fight he will come to the house. Recently had to treat a problem ear. He is a really good cat and very gentle. He has never tried to scratch me or anything. I have had to doctor a severe open wound on his leg because when we tried to put him in a kennel until the next day so we could take him to the vet, he went ballistic. We had to let him out so that he would not hurt himself even worse.

Thank you for all the name suggestions.

I have a Gracie too and she has a brother named George (we only have Gracie though. George stayed with his mother.)

I too like proper names for pets. I've never liked descriptive names for pets. My first cat's name was Alex. We had a dog growing up named Heidi.

So back to your cat! I like Molly, Lulu, Emma, Alice.

It is funny that you suggested Margaret - my name is Margaret and I sometimes go by the name Maggie. One of this kitten's sisters was adopted and given the name Maggie.

We are still looking for homes for her other sisters (4 of them). Right now they have nicknames Mittens, Eek & Meek (formerly "The Twins") and Gigi (she looks like her Uncle George - the only one to look like him). All the others are some semblance of their mother (a grey tabby with socks) and father (Pickaboo - black with white socks) combined. Maggie & Mittens have white socks/gloves on their feet, Eek & Meek don't (neither does the one we are keeping) - they are all the same/similar features except the ones that have the socks. Gigi is all white with spots. (By the way they were named for George Burns & Gracie Allen).

The one we are keeping was the runt of a litter of 8. Unfortunately the only two males had a genetic disorder and failed to thrive. They both died a few weeks apart. They were both sweet boys named Fidget and Gizmo. Fidget was just a real fidgeter when we had to bottle feed him. Gizmo looked just like Gizmo from Gremlins.

Some might remember my post about Gracie getting sick when they were all three weeks old. She had acute septic mastitis and had to have an emergency hysterectomy. She was at the vet for over a week and we had to bottle feed the 8 of them. Thankfully the ones that survived are all thriving (though might be a little smaller than most 14 week old kittens). They are all sweet little girls.

I would suggest just call it: cat, kitten, or hey you. Eventually the kitten will let you know its real name.
