I rode it a month ago for the first time, so I have nothing to compare it to. I have no desire to ever ride it again. It just plain wasn't fun. I was trying to brace myself and hold my bottom up because it literally felt like I was on the track. I mean, come on, they couldn't have added a little padding or raised the seat a couple of inches? I just couldn't wait to get off. I'm 5'3" and sat in the back. My legs were fine and didn't notice anything weird about holding on to the rails. I just hated being jarred around so much.

I know the ride was down the past few days. Does anyone know if this was to fix the seats?

I hate to say it, but it went from one of our favorite rides to one we avoid.
I think everyone is our party feels it most in the butt or lower back area, just not good.

The first time we rode it with the new cars, i'll admit it was painful and made the wife and I sad. We decided to try again but this time made sure to sit up more straight and not slouch or angle ourselves in and while it was still bumpy and jerky, was not nearly as painful as before.
As for fitting in, i'm 6'3 and i was about 280 in June and I found the front cars (1 & 4) to be the best for me. The middle and back cars seemed to have less room so I just arranged to be up front. |

I am over 50, 5'2" and heavy legs, I had a hard time getting in (row 2). I was worried I pulled my knee out when I pulled my right leg over. I don't understand why they didn't put more of a seat in, you are sitting on the bottom.

I'm not a fan of the new seats. I was in the front, and at 5'11" my knees were digging into the front of the bobsled, and I'm the short one in my family! Parents, sister, and bro-in-law, ranging from 6'1" to 6'5" were very uncomfortable. Obviously didn't consider tall people when redesigning the seats.

Just got back & HATE the new seats. Hate, hate, hate...ugh!
A CM told us that the 1st seat has the most legroom with middle & last seats being about the same. So if you're tall, like my DH, plan in sitting in front. I'm 5'2 & found them easy to get into but VERY difficult to get out of. My legs & feet got momentarily stuck- eek! Comfort wise- they HURT! You are literally rattling around on this hard plastic bouncing all over the place! There is NO cushion at all & for us "boney" people, this hurts! ![]() The mountain itself looks great. But DH had the hardest time with the new seats & his knees were SO sore from constantly hitting the sides that he said "never again!" My back & shoulders were killing me from bouncing off the back of my seat- DS is the only one who really enjoyed the ride....major FAIL Disney!

![]() Before we could even ask which seat had the most legroom, the CM said the 1st seat. Then I asked which one had the 2nd most legroom & she said, both 2nd & 3rd seats are about the same. I didn't actually look at the 1st seat to compare, we just took her word for it & so DH sat up front. But boy, was it crowded! I absolutely hate these new bobsleds for lack of room & lack of comfort. Why couldn't they do something more like the Splash Mtn logs??

Went twice in the last couple of months.
First time, was in the 2nd sled in the back on the left side....very very jerky. Hit my knees multiple times on the sides ( and I am only 5'4") and had a horrible back and headache after. ![]() 2nd time a month later, went on the right side, and sat in the front car in the first seat. Plenty of leg room, and a much smoother ride. I did find there was strange and abrupt jerky ' break checks' but couldn't figure out if that was a slight malfunction or a new part of the ride. my dad was in the back seat of the first car, is 5'8" and had an extremely hard time getting in and out of the small seat. I guess it all depends on where you are in the sled. Personally, I like not sitting in someone's lap and run the risk of banging my head on the front of the sled. However, I don't think the new sleds were measured correctly as it seems the seat width is different in each position of the car.
