Boma breakfast

I've been reading reviews about how great breakfast is at Boma. However, I read 1 review that said they did not have mickey waffles, other reviews did not say this. For those of you who have ate there for breakfast were there mickey waffles? My mom and son enjoy them as we don'teat breakfast every morning so it's important to have them if we take the time for a big breakfast. What is your favorite breakfast food at Boma?

In the two times I've eaten at Boma (2010 and 2011), I haven't seen Mickey waffles either time. However, Boma is my favorite breakfast option at WDW. It has a good variety of options.

We have eaten breakfast at Boma several times. I don't recall them having Mickey waffles. My son loves waffles in general (doesn't care if they are Mickey) so if they DID have them, I would probably remember him eating them. Then again, the brain is getting old...

Even without the waffles, I would really encourage you to give it a try. It's probably our 2nd favorite breakfast at WDW, with Tusker House being first (and they have similar menus). Both of my boys were VERY picky eaters when we first started going to WDW 6 years ago, but they always find things they like at Boma and leave with full bellies!

We just ate there the other day, and I don't recall Mickey Waffles. They had plan and m&m pancakes though . We absolutely loved Boma for breakfast!

You would need to take a taxi, or a WDW bus to a park and transfer.

My family usually aims for a 9 am ADR. We have a rental car, so we drive over to AKL. However, as TDC Nala said, the easiest option (if you don't have a car) is to take a taxi. There are taxi stands at all resorts and it's pretty easy to get one; I'd allow about $20-$25 plus tip to get to AKL from most other resorts on property.

The french toast there is awesome! It's like a banana foster style. They don't have waffles, but the variety is amazing and definitely worth a try.

We normally choose a later breakfast time like 9am to make sure that Animal Kingdom is open. We catch the bus to Animal Kingdom and then a quick jump over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Since it's close, the buses run pretty frequently.

We will stay at POR so does anyone know what time dtd buses start running in the morning? I thought a possible option would be take the boat to dtd then bus to AK or the obvious bus to AK the bus to AKL.

I've read that reliable bus transportation to and from DTD doesn't start until 10-10:30 am.

I ate their 3 times on my past trip and the gluten free waffles are Mickey waffles....so it is possible to get them. I'm not sure if they would do them as non-gluten free.
