Of all the Disney Resorts, where would you stay?
My husband and I were discussing the different Disney resorts tonight. I asked him where he would most like to stay if possible. So, I open this up to you....points aside, which WDW resort would you choose to stay at if you could stay anywhere and why?

Not sure what you mean by "points aside". We never use DVC points at non-DVC resorts because the exchange rate is terrible. If the exchange rate was "fair", probably the Yacht Club. |

Of the dvc resorts my two favorites are Old Key West and the villas at Wilderness Lodge.
OKW for the largest rooms of all the dvc resorts and the landscaping. You can park right in front of your room and there is a boat to the marketplace. VWL for the feeling of being in the woods with a short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. Also there is a path to the campgrounds which is great in cooler weather.

We have only been a DVC Member for 2 years, but have had the chance to stay at our home resort BLT, AKL and HHI. We are going back to BLT next June, so I would say that is our favorite so far, but we did enjoy HHI.
BLT location can not be beat.....it has so many places surrounding it, plus it like a double resort being part of the CR.

That's like asking me to pick my favorite child! We have stayed in every WDW and DL resort at least once and they are all wonderful, each in it's own way. I will say this...if I could only stay in one WDW resort from now on I would choose Old Key West...ot maybe the Boardwalk...or Fort Wilderness...or the WL or AKL... ...sigh... Nope, not possible.

Agree with PP that all the resorts are great and all have a different appeal. For us it generally has to do with location. We like to be able to walk to a park. So we own at BLT and also really like the EPCOT resorts as well.

BWV--for the easy walk to Epcot--it means we can go to Epcot on both arrival and departure day and not worry about transportation delays making us miss ME. Also love the entertainment out on the Boardwalk, the pool, and the activities at Community Hall. Oh, and the walk over to DHS!

BCV is my home resort and I love it there but our savannah view Grand Villa at AKV was spectacular.
DVC and non-DVC combined I'd probably say GF RPC theme park view has been my favorite. |

We just came back from another great stay at BCV. We have stayed at many of the resorts, and I have really enjoyed all of them, but for us BCV is our favorite.

As for non DVC resorts, would love to stay at Polynesian sometime. The theming, monorail to MK, just overall ambiance of it all makes it a fav place for our family to visit. Love Kona and Ohana, so that helps too

BLT or AKV Kidani most times of the year, but in mid November through December, I say VWL. The decor at resort just sings Christmas.
