I'm finally back home!

Sorry I missed the meet up! We were so exhausted when we got on the ship, that as soon as our room was ready DH & I climbed into bed and slept until we were woken up by the announcement for the lifeboat drill!

If any of you were at the Mixology seminar or Beer Tasting seminar onboard, then I probably saw you! We also did the adults only Chacchoben excursion in Costa Maya (our tour guide was Manuel) and the Tacos & Tequila excursion in Cozumel (our tour guide was Martin). Maybe some of you were in our groups?

DH & I had so much fun on this cruise! We LOVED the FE exchange! Thank you so much to all of you that gave out packs of tissues with your FE gifts! DH & I both caught colds on the boat, so those tissue packs were a lifesaver for us!!! Haha, but seriously, thank you all! We really loved our gifts!!!! There were only 2 staterooms I had that gifts for that when I got to the stateroom door, there was no FE!!! So if one of those was your room, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to get you your gift! The room change message board was missing before I had a chance to check it!

Thank you everyone for the wonderful FE gifts. We only had a problem delivering our FE gifts to 2510 (gotdrums57, Tim and Donna) There was no FE outside their stateroom. We checked twice. We ended up just leaving our FE gifts outside the stateroom on the floor. Not sure if they switched staterooms. We were able to locate everyone else. Sorry Tim and Donna if you didn't receive your FE gifts :-(

I left my gifts and TrojanJulez's gifts at GotDrums door too. Sorry if you didn't get them. I think there might have been one other person who didn't have an FE, I left gifts there too. I saw a post-it-note on gometros' door for yogi3323. Sorry if we missed anybody.

For all of those that changed rooms I have a feeling someone else got your FE gift from us because if ther was no FE outside the cabin I left it infront of the door, sorry.

We loved everything we received. The Canadian chocolate bars Areo, Smarties and Coffee Crisps where great. They are my favorite candies and when we go back to Canada every summer we stock up on those :-)

I hope everyone remembered to fill their bags up with sand on CC. We have ours on the fireplace mantel. Nothing like having a little Disney magic at hand.

Did anyone book another cruise while onboard? Now that we are home we can start planning our next adventure. The dude ranch with Disney Adventures looks fun but I really want to do a Disney cruise that stops twice at CC
as that was my favorite part of the whole cruise. Has anyone done any od the Disney Adventures?

Did anyone video the Animators Plate drawings show on Thursday, first seating? We wanted to purchase a DVD of it but found out you can't and we didn't think to video it. Aahhhhh my son really wants a copy of it. Plmk thanks

I look forward to hearing about your memories from the cruise.

You'll be on her two cruises after us. We had booked the Sept. 21st Eastern while on the Magic. Thanks to Stacy, though, we switched to a category 4E on deck 5.

The FE's were all wonderful - thank you all so much! My kids loved coming back to the room and seeing their pockets full with surprises! The treats were perfect for the shows and the kids immediately added pins to the lanyards and wore them everywhere! I felt bad that I was never able to deliver FE's to Daniel & Matthew. We put the the items on the door but late the items were outside with a note on the door. I brought them home with me so maybe I can maul them out...I hope they weren't too disappointed. Did I hear there was a room upgrade?

This was our first cruise and we really had a lot of fun - we will def be booking another. I'll post a fewhighlight pics on fb when I get a few. My phone has been acting up since my return and my son sends to have brought back a bug so he's home sick today. Grrrr.

I forgot to take that bag . We put sand & shells into an empty beer can. We were pulled aside, going through TSA screening at the airport. After they swabbed the outside cap and applied their little chemical test swipe, they sent us on our way. Apparently, that happens more often than we know.
We had the late seating in Animator's Palate. There were different color paint jar centerpieces throughout the restaurant. We sat in the blue section. Each color section's characters were featured in their own cartoon, so the odds of finding someone from your own color section at the main seating that recorded it, are slim.
This cruise was just O.K. for me. My first cruise was the. best. vacation. ever. My second cruise was only memorable. We are hoping our next cruise on the Dream can happen in about 20 months. My other daughter, is trying to convince her not-so-seaworthy DH to agree to go. Then, my grandkids could go with us. THAT would be MY dream vacation.

We were ERAERRA - if you were on the same rotation, we may have been in the same section.

That was our rotation! When I think about the color though, it was more turquoise than blue. We were at table 104.

Hey everyone sorry about the room confusion. On the third day early we were upgraded from an ocean-view to a balcony at no extra charge. There were no problems with our rooms I simply knew the ship wasn't sold out and asked if we could get a balcony for free. They said yes and we were changed to room 6062. Our original room hostess in the oceanview Naomi continued to deliver our FE gifts to our new room. It was great to get a balcony at no extra charge. Just a warning about this rooms position it is right over the Buena Vista theater. Ive seen the Avengers at least 5 times and I have to tell you when Hulk smashed at 11pm we could feel him smash in out room. Not to complain though how often do you save over 1000.00 dollars in a free upgrade from Disney? I did deliver the extra above mentioned gift to the right room number. Lots of great gift ideas gave me some great ideas. We gave out gifts as well as some extra stickers for the kids to everyone we had on the final list as of our departure to the Dolphin a week before the cruise. I did not bring my laptop because I promised my wife I would not work and just relax.
Loved the cruise. We have cruised Disney twice before (the Dream Maiden voyage and The Wonder on the Pacific coast) and have got to say I had never seen so many unruly kids running wild. It did not ruin our cruise because of course we realize a Disney cruise will have kids. The real shame was a good number of kids were running in the hallways and stealing stuff such as magnets off peoples doors. I have no problem with telling kids to knock it off and stop running. I can also let them know this in French and Spanish and did. The pirate show was a real step up even from the one we saw on the Dream. And we were right on the upper level (dressed in pirate gear) when Jack shot off the gauntlet and got some great close video of this.
This was our first time to Costa Maya and was not impressed by the port. We did the spa villa for couples for our anniversary and were a little disappointed because they asked us to show up at 5 and did not have the room prepared until almost 5:30. Had used towels in the bathroom when we went in and an empty champagne bucket and some trash on the deck. Not what you would expect for paying 475.00 plus tip. The only other negative was out head waiter Candice. This was one angry lady. She started off the cruise by really hammering the point (on a long drawn out list of things) that if you did not like meat temperature, food service etc.. blah blah blah almost like she expected that to happen. Let her know and she would set that cast member straight. Her wait teams seemed to fear her. And by the way the wait team was the best we ever had. Alexa and Mickey did a great job. Mickey doing magic tricks every night and Alexa doing a great job as well. Candice however belongs on Carnival or some other cruise line where you can expect bad service. She no way had the expertise or grace you come to expect from a Maitre De or head waiter on Disney.
All in all though a great cruise and we will be headed to Alaska in the future on Disney as well as the short hop in Europe.
Sorry we didnt make the meet and greet. We must have been in the wrong place because we didnt see anyone there at 3:30.
Had a great cruise thanks for all the cool fe gifts.
Tim and Donna

PS dont mean to sound negative I actually have a travel blog Im working on plus Im a senior contributor at Trip Advisor as well as write reviews on Cruise Critic. Just sorting stuff out in my head to write. It was a great cruise though. Loved the shows and had some hang time with Gareth from Buckets and Boards they had a great act. First cruise as well where they didnt have any deals or clearance items on shirts or stuff. Guess its because its a new ship. But even the Dream had some racks outside the shops with some good deals.

GotDrums,
We, too, had Alexa and Mikey. Loved, loved, loved Mikey. Was great with the kids. Felt like we had dinner and a show. I can see where someone not traveling with kids would love Alexa. She was very nice and definately knew what she was doing. There were 8 of us, 3 being small children. I know the server is supposed to recommend a dish but, honestly, she gave us a description of every appetizer, entree and dessert on the menu - every night. It dragged out the dinner way too long. I think she would be a better server for those without children.

I also want to thank everyone else for the great FE gifts. Kids loved getting to the door to find little gifts. The cruise was fantastic.
